Our menu:

Starters
Cheese plate , of note here was the guava gelle.
Meat plate, good, picture below
Tomato soup fondue: comfort food, nicely presented. a favorite.
Foie Gras sliders: Outstanding, excellent compliments, nicely presented.

Excellent Riesling chosen by the sommelier. Need to get the name.

Second:

Beef Bourguignon: savory, gorgeously prepared.
Coq au Vin: comfort food for me, done elegantly.
Salmon with Foie Gras. Sumptuous and creamy and rich.
Heirloom tomato "BLT" salad. Also nicely executed.

After

Chocolate and strawberry sorbet: the flavors were brilliant!
Salted Carmel and MacAllen butterScotch Beignets: butterscotch made with my favorite scotch. rich and a must have
Chocolate pot de creme: variety of flavors, chocolate lovers must have.
Strawberry vacherin. Strawberries, creme Fraiche, basil meringue and fennel. Amazing

Here are 2 of the 3 new cougar cubs (kittens?) at Cougar Mountain Zoo.
Hope to get more of these litte ones as time goes by.

2011-06-19 Mostly White Tigers

Vitez was being particularly active on Sunday.

Its hard to see, but he was able to get all 4 feet on the large toy ball they have.

Warm sunny day.  Not the best for taking tiger pictures, they are sleepy and less active.
Vitez was not to be photographed at all.  Playing hide and seek around Tiger Falls.
Oh well, there WILL be other days.

U2 concert 4-June-11 Seattle

Raine and I finially got to see the U2 concert that was originally schedule for last year.

Great concert, amazing stage (ufo that takes 200 lorries to transport according to Bono), and a fantastic dinner just before at Ipanima.

This posting is of Bagheera pics only, becuase I seem to have quite a few. Also, he spent more time on the public side of the Tiger Falls exhibit. Posting of Vitez photo's to follow later.
